This is a prototype featuring an activity-based app that focuses on competition and social engagement. The objective was to create an interactive flow that would enable a user to join a contest with limited cognitive stress. Transitions between collapsed and expanded views were specifically designed to mirror real life application. Most importantly, the action of joining is brought to the foreground to achieve maximum user focus.Achieving the goal
Though this may only be the first step in the contest-joining process, it is arguably the most critical to get right. Making the product easy to interact with and limiting visual distraction will help achieve the expected user behavior. A user's attention span should always be considered while building out a product. Consistent language, transitions, and imagery/icons will all play a part in creating a delightful user experience.
